Looking for funds for a community project?

LBS and SCVS have been contacted by Just Giving to offer groups and individuals some free support with fundraising (crowdfunding) for specific projects/items etc. in Sutton.
Do you live or work in Sutton? Are you a volunteer, a community leader, or a passionate individual seeking to make a change in your community?
If you need to build a network of support and fundraise enough money to get started, we would love to help.
This summer for the first time JustGiving community crowdfunding is working in partnership with the community of Sutton.
JustGiving has launched a new community crowdfunding website that helps ordinary people do extraordinary things. It’s a simple, effective way for someone to make a positive change at a local level – for individuals, groups or entire communities. If you’ve got a good idea, whether it’s bringing a community garden back into bloom, equipping an after-school computer club with new laptops or buying a wheelchair for a disabled neighbour, we’ll help you raise the money to make it happen.
If this sounds interesting, come along to our free event ‘An introduction to crowdfunding’ with Just Giving on Thursday 1 August from 4.30-5.30pm in Meeting Room 5 at the Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1EA to hear more.
