I just found out the hard way that buses are on diversion again and aren’t serving stops between North Cheam and the A217 at Cheam Village.
Buses are diverted and unable to serve bus stops on The Broadway and Malden Road each night from 2000 to 0600 Monday 11 until Wednesday 13 November during resurfacing works on Malden Road.
My scenic tour of the borough coming back from Sutton took me along the A217 – rather than going into Cheam Village – left into Sutton Common Road, left along the A24 to North Cheam then right at the lights to take us back onto Cheam Common Road to regain the usual route – phew!
MALDEN ROAD / BETWEEN CHATSWORTH ROAD AND WICKHAM AVENUE SM3 ROUTES 151, 213 and X26.
Buses are diverted and unable to serve bus stops on The Broadway and Malden Road each night from 2000 to 0600 Thursday 07 until Saturday 09 November during resurfacing works on Malden Road.
Bus stops missed: Cheam Broadway, Lumley Road, Tilehurst Road / Malden Road, Malden Road / Priory Road, Cheam Leisure Centre, Church Hill Road, North Cheam / Queen Victoria.
Buses are diverted via St Dunstans Hill, Oldfields Road, Sutton Common Road, London Road.
Thanks to Louise for bringing this to our attention.
