All are welcome to attend these public exhibitions and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on our proposals, to help shape the redevelopment of Victoria House, as we move forward towards preparing a planning application to be submitted to the London Borough of Sutton in due course.
Home Group believes that the redevelopment of Victoria House in North Cheam, presents a unique opportunity to enhance the historic crossroads at London Road and Malden Road. It will vastly improve the appearance of this site that has been derelict for many years and viewed by many as a blight on the area. Our challenge is to replace the 1960’s concrete building with a new contemporary mixed use development that both celebrates its landmark location and respects the existing built fabric. High quality architecture and public space will create a sustainable development to complement the existing local centre. Our ambition is to deliver a development to make North Cheam proud. The new development will provide approximately 93 one, two and three bed mixed tenure dwellings, including affordable homes, together with new retail units, landscaping and public realm. Car, motorbike and cycle parking will be provided on the site, although the emphasis is on supporting and encouraging sustainable transport modes.
