Latest crime update from Worcester Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Burglary
– an unlocked shed in a back garden was searched without any property being taken in Ebbisham Road between 20:00hrs on Saturday, 1 March and 08:00hrs on Sunday, 2 March after a lock had been cut on a gate leading to the garden
– gold jewellery and cash were stolen in a burglary in Merrilands Road between 9 January – 27 February

Vehicle crimes

Please be aware that unlocked vehicles are being targeted:
– £6 in coins and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from stolen from a car parked in Longfellow Road between 19:40hrs on Monday, 3 March and 08:30hrs on Tuesday, 4 March. The car was unlocked as no forced entry had been made to the vehicle
– a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked in Delcombe Avenue between 18:00hrs on Sunday, 2 March and 07:00hrs on Monday, 3 March
– a credit card, cheque book and small amount of loose change was taken from inside a vehicle parked in Boscombe Road between 18:00hrs on Sunday, 2 March and 07:00hrs on Monday, 3 March. There were no signs of forced entry
– a car glove box was searched by a suspect whilst the vehicle was unlocked and its battery was being recharged in Ebbisham Road between 3-4 March. Nothing was taken.
– a Sat Nav and cash were stolen from a vehicle whilst parked unlocked on a driveway in Washington Road between 22:00hrs on Tuesday, 4 March and 08:30hrs on Wednesday, 5 March

Please make sure your vehicle is locked before you leave it. If locking your vehicle with a key fob, please still check that the doors are locked before you walk away. Also, please remove all property from inside your vehicle.
